2017 Summer Intern

As a newspaper intern at CMGO, you will work directly with one of our editors as your supervisor. Because you’ll be working so closely with your supervisor, you’ll get first hand, immediate feedback that will enable you to develop your writing, editing, and organizational skills. On top of that, our newspaper interns have the opportunity to sit in on various team meetings, K99 radio shows, as well as news shows!
Here is a list of things you’ll be able to do throughout this internship:
-
Write articles to be published on My Dayton Daily News and the Springfield Times Sun
-
Have an editor/supervisor continuously look over your work and provide guidance
-
Conduct thorough research to ensure that all the facts are being told in an unbiased way
-
Develop skills in CMG’s story program, Méthode
-
Edit articles
This position is a paid part-time internship.
"My favorite part of the internship is that for me from a job experience standpoint, I've learned way more here over the past two summers [working at CMGO] than I have at school."
