As a Breaking News Intern, you have the opportunity to work with the breaking news team keeping an ear and eye out for any noteworthy incidents and events that are happening within the community. Whether it's receiving police reports, managing press releases, listening to multiple scanners at a time, listening to live streams, working on this team requires a hunger for the next story.

• Write articles based off of received reports, releases, and stories planned to break that day

• Answer the phones to learn more about new events happening

• Enhance organizational skills to better understand the importance of order in such a fast-paced environment

• Play an active role around the office helping with various tasks and interacting with the entire team

This position is a paid part-time internship.
